Project Details

The Blackfalds & Area Historical Society funded the Veterans Memorial project, along with help from Veteran’s Affairs Canada, to honor veterans of any war that lived in the Blackfalds area for a significant part of their lives, either before or after a war. There are 85 men and women named on the monument. A 90 page book was written to compliment the memorial, providing more information and lots of photographs for each veteran - ensuring that we never forget them.
